There are acupuncture points in the ears which, when
needled, are very effective in reducing cravings and
side effects of detoxification, like mood swings and
irritability. This can be helpful with most types of
addiction such as smoking, alcohol and drugs.

Craniosacral Therapy involves applying an extremely
gentle pressure to assess the subtle movements in the
body's tissues. These movements are affected by physical
and emotional conditions. The tissues of the body contract
with physical knocks and emotional stresses. If this
is severe the tissues stay contracted and this shows
up in the way the craniosacral rhythm is felt by a Craniosacral
Therapist. Unless rectified this may manifest itself
physically (such as back pain, digestive problems, migraine,
etc) and/or emotionally (such as anxiety and depression).
Treatment is carried out with the person lying flat,
fully clothed, and is usually described as extremely
relaxing. It can be carried out on people of all ages.
It is particularly helpful for new born babies (whether
delivered "normally", or assisted with forceps
etc, or by Caesarean section).

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning "Universal Life
Energy". Reiki Healing (pronounced ray-key) is
a very simple system of healing, carried out by placing
hands on or over a person (who is fully clothed and
lying on a treatment couch), with the intention of channelling
Reiki. Reiki heals on all levels, physically, mentally
and spiritually and supports the body's natural ability
to heal itself

Once prescribed by Tibetan physicians for conditions
such as anxiety and restlessness, this deeply relaxing
therapy is performed with the client fully clothed in
a lying position. The aim of the treatment is to make
a positive change to the recipient's energy system with
specialised massage. It increases circulation to the
head, improves scalp and hair conditions, promotes hair
growth, aids lymphatic drainage and promotes a feeling
of inner peace and calm.

Japanese Face Massage is a therapeutic face massage,
combining the massaging of oil into the face, head and
neck muscles with acupressure techniques. The face is
a complex network of muscles which are used constantly,
(smiling, chewing, laughing, yawning, speaking…..)
causing the facial muscles to contract. This causes
tension and because of the constriction of the muscle
tissue decreases circulation to the surface tissues,
this in turn leads to loss of natural elasticity. By
massaging specific muscles and acupressure points, this
influences the flow of energy (Qi) along the whole meridian
(energy pathway). This creates a balance to the facial
skin, facial muscles and, as it works on meridians;
it also works as an holistic treatment. It improves
the venous and lymphatic circulation of the face, tightens
and tones the skin, relaxes muscles and stimulates cellular
function and rejuvenation. It has been likened to a
natural facelift. It relaxes the mind, and feels good!

This is a relaxing ear massage, which, with the use
of oils and specific pressure points in and around the
ear, aids relaxation, relieves tension, helps to boost
the body’s immune system by encouraging the body
to produce more white blood cells and antibodies. It
works on the whole body by improving blood circulation
and removing toxins from the body. It is extremely effective
in lowering high blood pressure.

A hand massage discovered by a Korean Acupuncturist
in the 1970s. Rather like reflexology, the whole body
can be treated by hand massage. Different parts of the
hand relate to different parts of the body, and therefore,
through massage of the hand, the whole body can be treated.
It is a very gentle and relaxing treatment and is particularly
effective for conditions such as RSI, arthritis, joint
stiffness and general dis-ease within the body.

This is a massage treatment of the eyes and feet. It
is usually performed with the client lying fully clothed
on a treatment table. The first part of the treatment
is a massage of the eyes and upper face and head. This
part reduces eye tension and relaxes muscles around
the face and eyes, has a draining effect on the sinuses,
helps reduce puffiness and dark shadows.
The second part of the treatment is a massage of the
feet and ankles. This part soothes sore and tired feet,
reduces overall fatigue and promotes relaxation.
The whole treatment is very relaxing, helps combat
the effects of stress and promotes a feeling of inner
calm and peace, aids lymphatic drainage and improves
circulation.
